Celebration of the International White Cane Day on October 15th & 16th , 2021 at the Tactual Museum

On the occasion of the celebration of the International White Cane Day, the Τactual Museum and the Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece are organizing actions dedicated to the major issue of accessibility of visually impaired people and the need to establish good practices and equal opportunities towards this direction.

Thus, on Friday, October 15th & on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 from 10.00 to 16:00 and from 9.00 to 15.00 respectively, anyone can experience a free of charge tour guide to the unique world of the Tactual Museum.

This is a perfect opportunity for all people of all ages, to get acquainted with the unique Tactual Museum and to understand its major contribution to the equal and catholic accessibility of the visually impaired people to our cultural heritage.

Visitors will have the opportunity to attend guided tours based on different exhibits “narrating” unique stories of ancient Athens, the special thematic section “200 years since the Greek Revolution-Greece 1821-2021” and try the MANDO Blind Autonomous Navigation application, which was created in the framework of the Operational Program “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” NSRF 2014-2020.
