Head of a statue of a youth binding his hair (diadoumenos) in island marble. The statue was found in Delos, in 1894. It depicts a nude victorious athlete, who is tying a ribbon on his head. The piece dates from about 100 BC and is a copy of a famous statue made by Polykleitos in 450-425 BC
