Marble head of a warrior

Marble head of a warrior. Found in the sanctuary of Aphaia, Aegina, in 1901. The warrior wears a Corinthian helmet, raised to reveal the entire face. On the forehead protrude two rows of stylized wavy tresses. Circa 490 BC (NAM Γ 1933)
