Erasmus+ KA2 program “AMUSING- Adapting Museums for Educational Inclusive Goals”
The Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece participates as a Partner in the European Program Erasmus+ ΚΑ2 «Adapting Museums for educational Inclusive Goals».
This 2-year Program, was implemented in September 2019 with the purpose of creative exchange and establishment of good practices for the promotion of inclusion in the education of visually impaired students, by utilizing technology and 3D printing as valuable tools, for their equal access to knowledge, information and art and the relative awareness of the general public.
The Touch Museum with its experience, technical expertise and special educational methods contributes to this innovative and promising effort for educational, cultural and social integration of the visually impaired students.
The Coordinating body of the project is the organization: Consellería de Educación, Investigación, Cultura y Deporte of Spain, while the following bodies participate as partners:

1st TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING ERASMUS+ AMUSING
In terms of the implementation of the Erasmus+ AMUSING Programme “Adapting Museums for educational Inclusive Goals”, the Tactual Museum of the Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece hosted the 1st Transnational Project Μeeting on December 19th & 20th, 2019.
The Tactual Museum welcomed all the participants from Greece and Europe in an atmosphere of good and fruitful cooperation. The participants had the chance to exchange ideas and innovative practices, while they discussed and agreed to their duties for the successful fulfilment of the programme. The programme aims to assure the accessibility and the inclusion of people with vision impairment in culture and art by the means of technology (3D printing, 3D scanning, 3D design).
2nd TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING ERASMUS+ AMUSING
Ιn September 2021, the 2nd Transnational Project Μeeting for the Erasmus+ AMUSING Programme “Adapting Museums for educational Inclusive Goals” was held in Vilnius of Lithuania, with the participation of all the participants, among which the Tactual Museum.
In terms of the meeting, educational actions about 3D printing and design were accomplished and new suggestions and ideas for the programme were discussed. In addition, a special guided tour “Dialogue in the Dark” took place.
In a climate of good cooperation, the 2nd transnational meeting was successfully fulfilled with useful suggestions and positive outputs.
